Hi everyone, my name is Charity and I am mom to a 20 mo beauty named Faith Jewel. My DH and I got married 19 May, 2009 and he is in the Army Reserves at the moment. Just over a month ago my DH put in his release papers from the Reserves to go Active Duty and because of that his unit told him not to put in for a unit transfer so for now we either have to drive to Houston for drill or he or he can try to drill with his brigade unit that is about 15 mins from where we live. I am an Army brat of 2 soldiers, but not living around Military life for SO long I have forgotten most acronyms I used to know so now I have to reprogram my brain. I look forward to having other Military Wives to talk to as I get used to being back in Military life. Thanks :)

Hi Charity! Welcome to the military wives board, everyone here is very supportive and there's always some kind of fun topics going around. Looking forward to learning more about you and faith jewel. :)

My DH is originally a reservist marine but, is active duty now in afghanistan. When he goes to drill one weekend a month the base is about 45 minutes from home. So, he ends up just staying there sleeping in the office all weekend. :P But, now that he's deployed it's all different.

Well my DH unit is in Houston cuz that is where we lived up until August when we moved here and up until last months drill no one had told us that Brigade was 15 mins from us and he could drill there so because of family committments, drill and the death of a good friend we were driving the trip literally every other weekend and sometimes only home maybe a week before going down there again.
