I was wondering if there is a board for military locations? For military wives to maybe connect with other wives in their area?

As far as I know ivillage doesn't have any boards that are for a specific military location. Where are you stationed at? We have ladies on this board from all over the country so there is a good chance there will be someone on this board that is in the same place as you.

You can also try to get involved in the FRG or different activities through the MWR office at your base to try and meet people.

iVillage has regional boards, but nothing geared toward specific military installations.

Like Jess said, I'd check with the FRG to see what they have available. The FRG for DH's ship has a Yahoo forum for spouses/ family. I find it very helpful since I live a good distance away from the base & don't make the monthly meetings. It's also been a good way to connect with other spouses from the same command.

Yeah, I'm involved with the FRG. I was just curious if anyone was around a specific area I'd be moving to (Alabama). The hubby is deploying soon and I'll be returning home. It's always nice to meet up with fellow military wives.
