I've been married 3 weeks. My husband and I lived together 5 years before getting married, so the living together part is not an adjustment. In fact, I feel like our relationship has gotten closer since the wedding. I just have felt let down since we got back from the honeymoon, because we planned our wedding for 18 months and now it's all over. The wedding day and honeymoon were absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be happier. The thing is that I lost my job 6 weeks before the wedding, so it was a shock but at least I had the wedding to look forward to and keep busy with. Now I'm home alone all day, unemployed, and it's so hard to find jobs to apply to. I'm thinking of doing some volunteer work, it'll at least get me out of the house. On top of that I've been confined to the house with the flu for the last 6 days and it hasn't done anything for my mood. I cried a lot today actually. I can't bring myself to look at our presents or begin thank you notes or look at my dress, it all represents a time where I was so happy!

I feel a little bit the the opposite so maybe my views can help you. The stress of the wedding is over and now you can look forward to the rest of your life. The holidays are coming. I have been with my husband for 5 years too and got married about 2 months ago. Even though we've been living together for awhile I still feel like this is our first "real" holiday season together. It's a whole year of firsts. Now you can put together a scrapbook of everything. That takes up a lot of time, rearrange the kitchen with all the new stuff you got and fill all those picture frames. You could get a dog. We may do that in the spring. Go shopping because this month you don't need to worry about buying a cake topper. I feel a little relieved that it is over. I hope these ideas help you. Hope you are feeling better.

Me and DH have only been married 8 days, but we have been together for 2 years and living together for almost 2 yrs and have a 1 yr old (he'll actually be 1 on the 19th) I don't think anything has really changed since we got married, I don't feel any different, I'm thrilled that I don't have to plan any more wedding stuff, that was just so exhausting. I still have to send out thank you cards but other then that nothing has really changed.
