I've noticed that my sexual desire is great and i am wet (down there) while i'm on my period. It's unfortunate that all this energy goes unnoticed though because my husband (like most men) doesn't like to be sexually active during that time, which I totally understand. However, when i am off my period, my sexual desire is back to normal and I'm fine with having sex once a week or even less than that. I don't know if this kind of a sexual drive is normal for a 28 year old mother of a 3 yr old but i really like it when i want sex. I feel normal. I want to try to keep up with my husband. He's 22 and wants sex all the time! My question is why is it that I become so sexual during my menstural cycle and is there anything that I can take that's safe to help boost my sex drive? Thanks!

alot of women get horny during that time of the month. The biggest thing is your mind to help you want it more. also BC can cause your hormons to drop as well. Try talking to your GYN doc, see if there is different kind of BC you can use.

also "most" men will do it during that time of the month. I know mine sure does.

Plus...there are some BCs that will let you only have a period 3 times a year.
