If there is one thing I don't really look forward to, it's having to buy a car, but my car now has 150,000 miles on it, so I better buy a new one before the old one totally conks out. It's so hard to make a decision even though I know I want a small car. I went to 2 places today and had to rest after that. I think I will only go to one other place cause I can't take the running around. Now I really have to hurry since the 2010s are coming in and I could get a deal on the remaining 2009s. One funny thing--one dealer asked if he could check my credit score cause of course I can't pay cash and it has actually gone up since the divorce. lol I guess it was a good idea after all to refinance & pay off all the credit cards, so now if I use any credit cards, I pay off in full each month, so the only debt I have is my mortgage.

Have you been successful in finding a new car. I don´t know how you feel about Ford´s but I really like the Ford Focus. We have them over here and they really are roomy and comfortable for a small car. I also like some Japanese models Toyota or Honda, the problem is they are expensive to fix. Does MA still have the auto checks to make sure that cars are in good running condition?
That is great news on your credit score. I will have to check mine. I try to check it at least once a year just to make sure it doesn´t have anything strange on it. More so since I am out of the country.

I actually put a deposit down yesterday on a Honda Civic. I haven't done the paperwork for the loan yet. It's scary to have to take out a loan, but that's the only way I can get a new car. I drive too much to really make a used car worthwhile. My 1st exH also has one--he got his a couple of years ago and my price is actually less than he paid for it, so I guess I got a good deal. I can't wait.

I love Honda's! I used to have one before baby number 3 and loved it. Although I am biased towards loaded Accords, I am sure you will enjoy your Civic.

Some how I ended up with a Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition ,this last December. Not sure how it happened, but when I jumped in for a test drive within a minute I was in love. It is a 2002, so affordable but not too old.

It is scarey getting a loan. I refinanced my house 2 years ago to pay back my mom and dad the ton of money I owed them before my dad retired. I also hated to get an auto loan after paying everything off. Such is life....
