I am currently going through a divorce for 3 months now and my stbx already started dating another girl. Well, I think he formed a emotional attachment to her a few weeks prior to him telling me he didn't love me anymore and that he emotionally checked out months ago. So, now they are dating I guess he goes to visit her almost every weekend she lives 2 hrs away and they both profess to each other of how much they love each other already( i found that out when I found his secret phone right after he told me he didn't want to be with me anymore). I know the relationship has also become intimate and everything about it just sickens me!! How can the man I was with for 14yrs already have a new love of his life?!? I feel like our relationship meant nothing to him?? I do not feel like I am at all ready to date. I know I am having a hard time letting him go..but it has only been a few months. Can anyone shed some light on this..please!!

I think men move on really fast because they don't like being alone and they don't like really thinking about why their marriage went wrong. It's easier to blame the wife and not think about why they might have contributed to the problem.

I know what you are going through.. I am experiencing it also .... 1 month ago my husband woke up one morning and flipped out.... he ranted and raved that he couldn't live like this anymore. Mind you I had no idea what he was talking about as we where actually getting along really well. He kept going on about how he would love me forever as I was the mother of his children but he was no longer "in" love with me.  I was devestated.. we have 3 young children 6,4 and 2 and our 4 year old has only been in remission from Kidney cancer for 6 months. So he moved out and moved about 20min away... about 2 weeks after he left I finally stopped crying and my best friend at the time suddenly told me that she could no longer help me through this separation as she was going through her own separation and it was too hard on her head.... then to top it all off she added that she couldn't comfort me any longer as she had feelings for my husband. Then a week later my husband tells me that he has feelings for her too. He claims that they haven't acted on it (like I believe that) as it is too soon. Yeah right they hang out constantly and she is helping him figure out all his issues and what to do about things... The part that angers me the most I think is not only has he moved on and we have only been separated for 1 month but he doesn't want to get legelly separated, or divorsed.. and when I ask him if he is ever comming home he just says I don't know right now. I don't understnd how they move on so fast.. I'm still heartbroken and crying over stupid stuff  and he's off partying and starting a new life with someone else... leaving me to pick up all the pieces of the old life and figuring out what to do about our kids which he only wants to see every Saturday for 3 hours. At my house as he is only renting a room and has no where to tke them and he keeps complaining that he doesn't have enough money to come see them... All I can say to you  is pick your self up dust yourself off and get on with your life... worry about your happiness... take this oppurtunity to focus on what you want and what your goals are. You deserve to be treated better . You want to be with a man that doesn't want to live without you, who makes you feel like a queen and loves you the way you deserve!!!!!!!! That is what I try to remind myself everyday.... I know it is hard to turn the love switch off but it will get easier with time.. so I am told! good luck!

I haven't noticed men moving on from divorce very well, personally. When they seem to, as your ex has,  I think it could be the whole rebound thing..It helps fill the new void with someone else. It probably won't last

I also think it probably makes a diff who decides to leave. I'm sure that there are many men where the wife leaves and the man is devastated and for those guys, it would take more time to move on.
