Solo Sex

I apologize if this is too similar to the previous line of discussion regarding soloing... but I would be very curious as to the opinions of the more 'seasoned' posters...

As I have stated earlier, for various medical and physical reasons, DW and myself have been "intimacy-challenged" for quite a while. In fact we have been in separate bedrooms for well over a year except for the occasional 'visit' for some mutual solo play. She is simply unable to sleep when anyone is in the same bed.... anyway, no need to rehash all that.

And as I have stated earlier, I dearly love my wife and would never do anything to jeopardize our relationship of many years.

HOWEVER... on occasion I have been sorely tempted to seek out an online chat experience on one of the many adult web sites out there. I miss the interaction....I guess that's one of the reasons that I enjoy reading the various posts here.

Simply put... if I were to interact with some nameless stranger on an adult web site, would that be considered cheating?

I would greatly appreciate any insight that any of the posters might have to offer.

That depends on each individual couple.  Some couples consider it cheating, being disresectful to their partner, consider it wrong in a relaitonship but other couples don't and are okay with their partner doing it.  There is no yes it's cheating or no it's not cheating, that's up to each couple to decide what is appropriate for their relationship.   

Have you talked to your wife about it and asked her what her thoughts are? 

If you can't talk to your wife about it because you know she wouldn't like it, she'd be hurt, upset, not approve, feel disrespected, if you can't do it with her knowing you're doing it and her being okay with it, doesn't that answer your question whether it would be considered cheating in your relationship?

As Tish mentioned that would depend on each individual couple.  Personally I considerate it cheating and would not tolerate my husband, partner, boyfriend or SO doing that.  But that is only my opinion and feelings.

Yes, there is a conversation which will have to take place, however it will be much different than the one I envisioned.  A quick 'history' check last night (which I never do since there are only two of us using the computer) reveals numerous visits to a site called Chatropolis.  I must admit to being rather confused by this turn of events, but of course I have no way of knowing what sort of conversations may have taken place at this site.  There seem to be a wide variety of chat rooms on that site, some of which appear to be quite innocuous.

Anyway... there may be conversations at some point in the future once I figure out just what it is I want to ask.... or if I even want to pursue this line of inquiry.  Maybe it's best just to let sleeping dogs lie.

You're more then welcome.  I am extremely honest too in my relationships so that is why I think it's the best to opening talk to you wife prior to making any decisions :)
