Understanding Men

I'm very good friends with a guy, very close..... he found out that I was out on a date and having a wonderful time (a mutual friend saw me and thought it was her place to tell him....) and has pretty much asked for space from me......

He has a girlfriend, we are just friends..... I'm thinking he has feelings.... am I right?

Hi I am confused why did your mutual female friend tell him that she saw you two out on a date? Is this why he wants space from you?

#1 Does she think there is a potential attraction between you two?

 #2 Or do you think he has told her that he likes you but had not come and asked you out yet out of fear of rejection?

If the latter I think he wanted to ask you out one day but did not for what ever reason and is now jealous what else could it be?

I have a similar issue at work but cannot ask my co-worker out until my job ends in 5 months and wonder how would he react if  he saw me out with a guy. I noticed he really perks up  when I give my opinion or say anything about  men or dating when we talk about relationships lightly

and I am trying to keep this particular subject light with him for now
