I have 5 more months left at a job and plan to ask a male co-worker out when I quit. I feel this is the best way to go to avoid at all bad gossip that will occur if something were to start between us now not to mention potential tension between us that could be unnecessarily avoided.

I am hoping he will be single at this time.

I am not sure,  but don't think he has a girlfriend and is not married.

How do I keep myself calm and remain positive over the next several months when I see girls 10 years younger than him  flirt subtly with him at times

(we work at a university)

This one girl came and spoke with him in tiny shorts and has brought him a snack that I know of before. She has not come down anymore to see him

(he voluntarily  told me this) I feel he knows that I like him and he has consistently flirted with me for sure. We have great conversation and great chemistry

This is only a part time (weekend)job for us both but I only work one day a week with him.

I am a very optimistic person and have confidence that it would be great between us but need feedback.
