I know that many of us here are Wiccans or Witches or something similar to that. Do you incorporate other ideas/activities from other paths into your spiritual practice? For example, do you also practice yoga or the martial arts or Zen meditation or feng shui? Do adding in these other influences help you on your path?
I am a reiki practioner so I guess yes is the answer to your question. I have been involved in both spiritual healing and reiki and I have found they have both blended with my personal beleifs with out any question. I do feel that it enhances my personal path. I always feel and often see my healing guides around me when I'm doing reiki so for me this is further confirmation of my beliefs.
I practiced Buddhism for awhile before I decided to walk the Pagan path. However, I still maintain a lot of my Buddhist practices, though I have never really been good with meditation. Can't seem to shut out the thoughts! I have practiced yoga, though not for a long time, because DH and I live with my mother right now and there is no room here and no real privacy for it. We're planning a move this coming summer so I'm hoping to get back with my yoga. I also want to use feng shui in my new apartment. I need to read some books on it. I still have several months to research it, but I can never start too early!
Yes, all the wisdom I leaned over the years has had an effect on my path as an Eclectic Wiccan and Witch. :) Zen and martial arts, t'ai chi chih training, concepts of ying and yang, the Tao, all have taught me meditation, the concept of inner balance, and how to focus deeply. These skills help me in magickal workings, ability to cast a Circle, be open to the guidance of the Lady and Lord. Native American concepts of Animal Totems and their wisdom and guidance, reverance for nature and its balance, are an important part of my path, also. The love of ritual, candles, incense from my Catholic upbringing fits well into my Wiccan path. Even having been close to Mary, mother of Jesus, was a foreunner to hearing and following the Goddess years later. :) All my life experiences, spiritual and otherwise, all has served to teach me, contribute to my values and personal integrity, and effect my choices and path.

My path is a giant conglomeration of Hedge Witchery, Folk Magick, Traditional Witchcraft, Green Witchcraft...the list goes on and on. I am very open to other influences.
