Yes, I'm here!

Why? A few reasons. Mainly because the board is for women of *all sizes*. Big, small and inbetween.

I don't like to see people judged on their size. The outside is no reflection of the inside.

And I hate that perfectly normal people feel the need to have plastic surgery just to fit in in this world which is fixated on external beauty. And you know, quite often an unusual feature can add to a person's allure.

I'm here for 'thin acceptance' too. There has been quite a push for people to not say mean things to those who are overweight (yes, I know there's still a long way to go) But I still see/hear people saying that those who are naturally very thin are weight obsessesed or vain or brainless or nasty. And I hate when people say things like "men don't like skinny chicks"

Lastly, and still on the subject of 'thin acceptance', I hate the phrase "real women have curves". What about girls who have boy hips or just happen to be built like a long drink of water? Are they fake women? I know the comment has good intentions, but imagine the outrage if the comment was reversed to "real women are built straight up and down."

Hi Geri! I'm Victoria, I'm here because I love the name of this board, and I don't think beauty comes in only one size. It's important to be healthy and feel good in our own skins! :)
