I recently went shopping with my sister; I was just tagging along for company and to offer my opinion, not really planning on purchasing anything myself. And wouldn't you know, it seems like every shop we entered had something that was just calling my name! LOL I managed to resist, making note of what and where caught my eye; I'll return later when the stores offer a sale or coupon I want to take advantage of.

I resisted like a champ...until we walked into one of the shoe stores. My sister is a total shoe addict; you could drop her in the middle of an unfamiliar city and she'd zero in on the closest shoe store in under 5 minutes. The store had a BOGO half off sale going on, so I figured we'd be in there at least a couple of hours. Within two minutes, she'd found a pair of heel she had to have...but couldn't find a second pair she liked in her size. But I did! LOL I found an awesome pair of ankle boots that had been marked down from $90 to $40... and since they were the least expensive of the two pair, that made them $20! To make it even better, I had a coupon from the store, offering $5 off any purchase, so I snagged those babies for $15!

I guess a special today on pork loin chops (one package made up 8 meals!) doesn't count?

I haven't shopped for clothing in over a year... and then it was no bargain! NEVER have sales had things in my size that any normal human would wear! the hazards of being a size 12!

I belong to the Publix Baby Club, and a couple months ago, they sent me a bunch of coupons. The best deal I got was a "Buy Huggies Diapers, Get Huggies Wipes Free". I didn't realize until I got home, but the cashier reversed the coupon. I paid for the wipes and got the diapers for free. What a deal!

I also recently bought a pair of heels from DSW. I looked online and managed to find 2 coupons for $$ off, plus a coupon for a free leather tote. I got $50 shoes for $30 (plus free shipping because I belong to the club), plus a HUGE free tote ($30 value). I don't actually like big purses, so I'm planning to give it to my sister for Christmas because it looks expensive. :)

A new Super Wal-Mart just opened in the next town and I loooove the groceries! Got a cantaloupe for $1.00, 39 cents for a big bunch of bananas and so on. Cheap, cheap, cheap and all good quality.

A few days ago I was buying birthday presents for the 3 family members celebrating birthdays this week and I found a Wii game for my brother.  It was marked on clearance for $10.49, so I thought why not.  Got up to the check out and it rang up at $3.76!  I even had the cashier double check and she said that often things will be marked clearance at one price but will ring up for less.

Good deal?  I thought so, and my brother was pretty happy with the game!
