Welcome to the board, Terril. I hope I can help you.

To know what exactly your skin tone is, I'd go to makeup counter and tell them you want to know what shade of foundation that you are so then you know what to buy even if you don't buy department (Saks Fifth Avenue, Norstorm, Macy's, etc.) store makeup and prefer drug (Walmart, Walgreen's, CVS, etc.) store makeup instead.

With powder its easy to apply and cream blush, in my opinion, takes a little more time to work with, but not much. I like powder blush the best. I've used both, and I like powder.

Are there any certain brands of makeup that you would like to use or try?
