So I have received and tried my St Moriz self-tanner
This is the best and the cheapest fake tan I have used in my whole life! Seriously, it's tinted so you can see really well where you apply it and if you have blended enough; it has a bit of a scent when you apply but it doesn't last, and it's not that usual horrible fake tan smell; it dries in like 2 minutes... AND it gives a very nice color, not orange at all.

What more can I say?

Now I don't think it's retailed in the US and actually, it's not retailed in my country either but you can buy it on eBay or on amazon.co.uk
It's pretty cheap, around 10-12$ I think.

Now if budget isn't a problem and you find this easier to get where you live, Xen-Tan is a similar high-end product about which I have heard wonderful reviews but I think it would be about 30$. It's also available online on plenty of websites, just google it.

EDIT - JULY 18

Well StMoriz ended up being a bit of a disappointment: most of the color came from the instant color, not from the fake-tanning, so it washed away after my first shower. Which means you have to reapply several days in a row to get a nice result.

I am now trying Xen-Tan lotion, we'll see if I am more successfull!

I have heard this is a wonderful product from a UK youtube make up junkie I watch. Never seen it over here in US.

My question is (since I've never used self tanner but would like to try) can you shave and use a body washing puff after applying?

Nope, you have to shave first because shaving = exfoliating so you would lose part of your fake tan and would need to reapply.

Anyway, once you have your fake tan on, you wanna exfoliate regularly so it doesn't get patchy, so you can totally exfoliate, shave and reapply. And on the days you're not using self-tanner, you can of course use lotion.
