I am one of those people who don't apply makeup daily but need

some for an upcoming pro Headshot.  I need mascara/concealer

recommendations.  Would like least expensive options as I am on a budget

due to Unemployment. Thanks for any advice.

Hi there!

A few tips for you, if you are going to be photographed, do not use any SPF on your face and make sure the products you use on that day (moisturizer, concealer, foundation...) do not contain any because that will cast a white ghostly shade all over your face on the pixture.

Now onto recommendations... For a mascara it depends on what you are looking for. Since photographs tend to wash away colors and intensity, I'd recommend a volumizing black mascara like L'Oreal Voluminous or Covergirl Lashblast.
For concealer, you need to find a shade that matches your skintone, and maybe with a slight peach undertone if you have very blue/purple dark circles. I am not very familiar with the drugstore concealers available in the us but rather pick one that is creamy or liquidy (rather than pencil for example), put a tiny bit on the undereye zone, especially in the inner corner, and blend by patting with your finger. Then set with a translucent powder so it doesn't go into fine lines during the day.
I know NYX has good concealers.

If you are going to wear foundation, put it on first and apply concealer afterwards.
Don't forget to blend into your neck so there's no shade difference.
Then you can use a blush or powder slightly darker than your skintone to contour your face, and especially contour the jawline because it will make your face stand out of the neck more in the picture. All you need is an angled brush and you can get these for cheap at CVS or Target...

Oh another great place to get cheap products is ELF (eyeslipsface.com) If you google you can find discount codes, and most products are 1$ all year long so you could get brush, concealer, blush for very cheap.

Hope this helps!
