I love using the Queen Helena mint julep mask that you can buy at walmart for drying up pimples. I usually don't use it as a full face mask, I just dot it onto my pimples and leave it on overnight, and the next day there is usually some improvement--unless the pimple is really stubborn. It sometimes helps a bit with those pimples that are under the skin? It helps it come to a head at times. Disclaimer: it doesn't always work like I would hope, just wanted to share that its a great pimple cream and helps a bit with the redness too.

Thanks for sharing your tip!  Here's one of my own...

Bring down the swelling of a pimple by combining 1/4-teaspoon table salt with 1/2-cup lukewarm water. Dip a gauze pad into the mixture and then lightly press against the blemish for a minute. The salt will bring down the swelling.

Tea tree oil does wonders.
