Hi everyone,

I am going to re-pierce my nose in a week or so and I'm hoping to have better luck this time.  I am wondering if it hurts to change your nose piercing?  I never got to that point the first time I did it.  When I finally took the piercing out to let the site heal it hurt like hell.  It wasn't infected but my piercer didn't use the proper technique so it never actually healed.

I can't imagine changing the jewlery and putting another stud in..if it hurts that bad coming out won't it hurt like that going back in?  I was hoping that it eventually feels like it would when you change your earrings...no pain at all.

TIA,

Chelle

Changing a piercing (of any place on the body) should NOT hurt at all when fully healed.

I've had my nose piercing for many many years and the only time it has ever hurt was when it was first pierced, when it got bumped and the jewelry pulled out when it was still a fresh piercing and if I ever tried to push in a bigger sized jewelry than my hole is (at any time I've had it).

I hope this next time around you find your nose piercing healing quickly and pain free. If you do experience any prolonged pain, go back to the piercer and get their opinion on the situation.
Don't forget to let us know how it goes!
