That is funny.  However, I have to disagree with the writer.  I think he had a duty to call the company and find out why he was receiving checks.  If they still didn't do anything about it, I would have held onto the checks but never deposited them until they finally figured out the error.  It wasn't actually his money and he didn't really have a right to it, regardless of whether the company made the error or not.

You're right ... in the end, he has to pay it back anyway.

So, I guess it was no more than a temporary "loan" that he wasn't really entitled to.

It doesn't make him look good that he didn't report it.

Funny, but the guy still didn't have the right to cash the checks.  I wonder if he actually received a W2 and filed taxes on the money he was paid and now has to file some sort of form to get his money back from the IRS.  That process will surely take 2 years lol.  I can't believe the writer thinks this guy is entitled to money he never earned from a company he didn't work for.

LOL ... now there's a thought! Having to get money back from the IRS.

What a mess, huh?
