I am getting married on Nov 7th and have been pretty much been doing everything myself from the invitations to homemade wedding favors. I am having quite a few children at my wedding. My 3 nieces ages 1,4 & 5 are my flower girls, my friends daughter is my Jr. Bridesmaid,(12) my son who is almost a year will be the ring bearer carried down the isle by the best man (his uncle). My other friend is bringing her older daughter who is also 12, another friend is bringing her daughter (9)because she is a single mother traveling 10 hours, and my other friend is also bringing her two sons.(8 & 10) I am thinking of having a "children's table" but I'm not sure if I should. There are about 6 people to a table. I'm so confused and now I'm getting so nervous reading about how other people found other peoples weddings "tacky" because of certain situations. The reception is about 3 hours and our church does have a tv monitor where the parents can take their child out if need be and still hear and see the ceremony. Should I just seat the older children with the children their own age or with their parent(s)??

Hello and welcome!

Personally, I'd sit the kids with their parents.  They'll be supervised and under much better behavior than if they were all sitting together.

If you do decide to sit them together it sounds like you'd need a couple tables.  Be sure to have an adult or teen sit at the table with the kids (this is not so fun for them :( ) to keep an eye on the kids and make sure no one gets out of hand.

Good luck!

Melissa

Thanks, I talked to my friends who are bringing their children and they also agreed it would be easier if their kids will be sitting with them.
