Who should be invited to the bachelorette party? Is it only for the bride and bridesmaids?

Hello!

As with showers, anyone invited to the wedding could be invited to the bachelorette party.  However, it's typically a small group of the bride's closest friends and her bridal party.

Thank you. The party is a destination one (as is the wedding) and is being held much in advance of the wedding.  I am the brides future sil (she is marrying my bil).  She has told me all about the party repeatedly (except for when it is, not sure she has decided that yet, wedding is still a long way off) and I wondered if this is something I should even consider making time for - if it was just the bridal party (which I doubt as there is only her and one other). I will understand if she doesn't invite me, but I'd be nice (as long as she doesnt' invite our mother in law!!!!) Anyway...just wondered who goes to those things. I have never been to one.
