I'm Kerryl, newly engaged to Ian.
We're thinking about 2 April 2011 for a date which would be the 3 year anniversary of my Mum collapsing (and the day we feel we lost her) - it's to 'turn' a day., but I'm flexible over April/May. We're also TTC at the moment, so we'll go with what works around a pregancy (if we are lucky enough!!) I'm hoping to have about 8-9 months after a birth before the wedding.
Proposal Story:
In Wednesday, Ian texted me asking if I wanted lunch - just after I'd left the office for lunch, so I called and said I couldn't, but I'll see him in the evening.
About 2:30, he came to the office, and I met him in the hall as we had a major meeting going on in the boardroom, which is opposite my office.
He handed me a small cactus - which I thought was for my office and was rather stoked to receive. He had a postcard of Adelaide Oval tied to it. I turned the postcard over, and on the back he'd written "Kerryl, marry me?".
I said yes and hugged him (little difficult to do much more with a friggin' major meeting in the next room).
At that point he asked "do you like the ring?" My response - "what ring?"
I hadn't even noticed it attached to the postcard!!!
Ring is a Ceylon sapphire with diamond side-stones (no idea on the specs of stones at this stage). I got it back Saturday after it was re-sized, and I've not been able to upload pics as yet. Dang computer isn't cooperating on that element!
