For the BTDT brides what was your wedding timeline? What were some of the pros and cons?

For those still in the planning stages, what are you thinking about?

1-2ish pm- Make up
3-3:30ish pm- get dressed
4-4:30ish pm- meet FI at reveal location and take pics
5:30 pm- Group family pics
7 pm- Ceremony
8 pm- Reception start
8:05 pm -introduction of couple, followed by first dance

I am totally guessing on everything except the ceremony start time :)
We've decided to do a reveal beforehand but I haven't set up a time line with the photog; I'm waiting on my make up trial to see how long that will last. We have a meeting with our DJ in one month to discuss the reception; I don't want everything crammed in together at the beginning but at the same time I don't want to break every 30 minutes so hopefully we will find a happy medium.

We chose to do the reveal because my family is catering the reception and it just makes it easier on them to have family pics plus I'll enjoy hanging out with FI beforehand!

My time line more set in stone since the last reply:

12:30- hair

2:30- make up

3:30-4:00ish- get dressed and go to reveal site

4:30- reveal and bride and groom photos

5:30-6:30- group pics at ceremony location

7 PM - Ceremony

Ours is pretty felxible, but for the most part this is how it goes.
(I'm still planning on a dinner reception at this point)
9:00 am decorate the ceremony and reception site (I don't trust anyone to do it without me there, lol)

12:00 Lunch with my Mom and BMs

1:00 Hair followed by makeup

2:30 Get dressed

3:00 Leave for ceremony

3:30 Ceremony followed by pictures,

5:30 Reception starts

7:00ish First Dance, Father/Daughter Dance Mother/Son Dance

8:30 ish Cake Cutting

10:00 ish bouquet and garter toss!

And that's pretty much it.
