Have you heard of or seen the "shoe game" at weddings? I'm not sure what it is really called! :)

I think Jamie mentioned it in a post about a wedding she attended recently. And then I keep coming across pictures of it on blogs.

It goes a little something like this: The bride and groom sit back to back, they each have a bride shoe and a groom shoe. Someone asks a question (who - bride or groom - is more likely to be late?) and they raise the shoe of the person for their answer. Supposed to be funny/cute. Has anyone seen this done, or know where it came from? Is this game a new trend? What other games are played at weddings?

My BIL and SIL did this at their wedding after the garter toss and bouquet toss later in the evening. It was funny but not much of a point I guess. It was cute to watch anyway.

I haven't heard of this before.  I don't know if I really like the idea of playing this for the wedding.  It sounds more like a game to be played at a shower or something.

I agree. As a guest I would be at the bar during this or saying to myself "wtf is going on". LOL but it is not about the guests so if people want to do this....weird though...

My boyfriends brother and his wife did this at their wedding. I thought is was pretty funny to see, but I knew both the bride and the groom quite well. I can see where is would be boring if you didn't know them very well.
