Not Quite Engaged

Testing out a new font today - I usually browse in Firefox so I didn't even know IE let me customize text until I read the board settings.  V. cool.  I'm also looking into the graphics everyone seems to have for signatures - who do I talk to about getting one of those? :)

Random things from this week:

As I've mentioned, I work full time and attend grad school part time, which is a HUGE time commitment and I often feel like I'm being pulled in 80 different directions. Also, my program isn't designed to be taken part-time; in fact, I'm the only person I know that works full time. Anyway, I had my first exam of the semester last week and we got our results back today: of the class of 122 students, I got the 3rd highest grade!!! Yippee! I printed out the curve and am posting it on our fridge. :)

I also found out this week that an old friend of SO's and mine is engaged.   Normally, this would be great news, except that the engagement isn't to the girlfriend that he met in 2007 and dated for two years.  It's to an entirely different woman - someone we didn't even know he was dating! It's been all the gossip with our friends this week.

Lastly, sad news.  A close friend of mine recently broke up with her boyfriend of 4 years and is moving out of their apartment.  It really kind of shakes your foundation when your "couple friends" break up - especially ones that have been together for so long and been through so much together.  Prior to the break-up, it seemed like they had been pretty much in the same place that SO and I are in - happily together and in no huge rush to get married, but possibly with visions of white dresses dancing somewhere in the back of her mind. I feel so terrible for her.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend and that the weather in the rest of the world is more pleasant than the high of 47 and rain that we will be having in DC.

I've just been going to class, I'm getting 3 college classes for OSU-tech out of the way, they do an alliance thing with our tech center. I get college credit for work i'm alreaady doing in class.

I've been battling nausea all week too, Justin will be home Tuesday but I'll be in Oklahoma city  from monday til Tuesday evening for a BPA officer leadership confrence. so for once he'll be waiting on me to come back home. lol

Octobers good, I've got a shoot tomorrow, and hopefully another one next weekend too.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've been pretty hit and miss on the boards lately since I'm back in school until December. It's hard being Long-distance again, but we're doing alright with it. I've been down at our apartment for the last week and a half and that's been nice, but tomorrow I have to do the 6 hour drive north again and I'm not looking forward to it.

School's been crazy busy, and I'm the only not-engaged person in my group of friends now - but it's been sort of fun since now that I'm the only one I'm just a part of everyone else's planning (and they keep ribbing me about it, but I'd rather be planning someone else's than my own...costs me way less money this way lol)

Brendan and I went to a studio tour over in Guelph today which was pretty exciting - I got a pretty new pair of earrings other than that though, it's been a pretty lazy week.
