So I have a confession to make.  I registered on theknot.com.  I just wanted to poke around and look at pictures (especially of colors), but it asked me to register so I did!  I even put in our 'prospective date' (the date I'd like and I think will end up happening based on where our timeline is heading): May 2011.  Hope I didn't jinx myself, haha.  I then proceded to waste about an hour browing pictures of different weddings.

Ooh boy.  I have wedding fever and baby fever bad right now!  It doesn't help that we're in the middle of a huge wedding and baby season with the people we know.  We just attended two weddings and are going to 2-4 next year.  Three couples we are very close to are pregnant right now.  I can't wait to be pregnant and have babies one day but that won't be happening for several years so I turned my attention to my wedding fever ;)

I'm not expecting a proposal until the second half of next year so it's nice to just browse around when I feel like it and contemplate different color schemes, themes, bridesmaids dresses, flowers, etc.  Anyone else do this?  Do you have any other NQE confessions?  SO knows that I watch wedding shows on tv (I sometimes make him watch Say Yes to the Dress with me and get his opinions on the dresses), that I'm on this board, etc.  We talk about 'our wedding' every once in a while; who will be in our wedding party, songs we have to play, food, etc.  Thinking about actually having to plan the event stresses me out so I'm enjoying this carefree 'pretend planning' while it lasts!

I look at rings sometimes. I've also looked at various venues in our area (online) just to see what they offer, but I've gotten to those mostly from wedding blogs. In my mind, this week I've planned the perfect wedding. lol...

Smallish ceremony in my grandmother's backyard (family and very close friends only) followed by a larger party (heavy appitizers, drinks and dancing) at this very chic wine bar. lol... Next week, I'll probably want something else.

I agree that it's fun to do imaginary pre-planning when there is no stress, no real budget and you can change your mind as often as you like!

Hi Leah -

Beware! - The Knot will send you postcards and advertisements, which can lead to some explaining if you live with your SO and he picks up the mail.

Speaking from experience.

My confessions:

* I'm overly-impatient, lately. With T- 2 months, and one day left until the end of the year (and, our 'timeline'), I'm ready for B to get the show on the road, already!

* I can't stop looking at dresses, or shoes. I have 2 main (online) contenders for each, but I don't want to try anything on, or even look in stores until B proposes..

* I'm drooling over the venue I love, and I'll be disappointed if we don't go with it (and, I doubt we'll even look at it). B worries about the $ aspect, even though nothing in our area stands out to us, or seems worth the prices

* I'm really feeling the aqua/red colour combo right now.. like, really. I think I'd rather do a light blue over aqua, though..
