Hi all, I've just recently gotten back on iVillage. My SO and I have been together a little over 8 months, and he just joined the military. I have a baby who is 6 months old, whom is going to be adopted when we get married. There is MUCH talk on his end of getting engaged during his Christmas leave. He got his flight booked yesterday and will be here at 9.30 pm, on the 17th of December. I can't wait! My name is Helen, by the way. Can't wait to get to know you all!

Welcome to the board Helen! :) I'm glad you introduced yourself and I look forward to getting to know you better. I'm E (27) with S (36) for a year and almost 8 months now. We live together in Virginia. An engagement is pretty far off in the future for us right now, only due to financial reasons.

I hope you enjoy NQE! :) Be sure to check out the other military related boards on ivillage! (dating a military man, military wives, and I believe there's military families too!).

Welcome to the board, Helen!

I'm S (27), my SO is B (29), and we've been together for just about 9 years, now. We're also proud parents of a spunky 5-year-old, who is our world! Needless to say, I'm pretty impatient, waiting for a proposal, these days, lol..
