Melissa,

I know you're a nurse. Do you give a flu shot in the dominant arm or non dominant arm.

My daughter and I got flu shots this past weekend. We each sat with a different nurse.

One of us got the shot in the dominant arm as it's the arm we use and move and the other got the shot in the non dominant arm as she didn't want the dominant arm to hurt.

What's your thought?

Hi Audrey,

I typically prefer the non-dominant arm to give the injection. It usually helps with afterwards with any discomfort.
